In my work we use a software that accepts keyboard input that’s connected to a serial port on the PC. To that serial port, we use a converter that converts a PS2 keyboard to a serial port so the software can see it.
So instead of using old PS2 keyboards, my solution was to somehow map a USB keyboard as a virtual COM port.
Is there any software to achieve this? I’ve seen people ask around but for printers.
We don’t want a physical solution as it costs too much, but I’m sure there must be an easy solution for this.
