How do I assign a password to a network name prior to connecting to that network?

I have a raspberry pi that I want to place on a network away from where I have my hardware (namely keyboard & monitor).

So I while I know the WiFi network connection details in advance I'm not sure how I can assign them on my pi.

I have openELEC installed on the pi.
