Im wanting to install a custom operating system on a DVR, specifically Arch Linux. I have no specific DVR in mind, just something cheap that has AHD 1080P support, networking and basic IO like usb and display. Arch will need to be able to access the Coaxial inputs as some kind of video device.
My question is, how do I install Arch on a DVR? I assume the process wont be easy, as hardware most likely differs from a traditional PC. And specialized drivers may be needed, possibly even custom.
I dont quite know how to tackle this problem, so I ask of help. If no answer I will try to buy the DVR linked below, and install Arch the computer-like way. I also plan to use the DVR linked.
