Trigger backup via task schedule during night

0

I'm using Google Drive desktop client in order to sync a local folder. By default the client auto upload as soon as it detect a change in folder.

I want to upload during the night only.

I have make a window task via Task scheduler at 4am to launch googledrivesync.exe, and another at 5 am to kill googledrivesync.exe.

Questions:

  • I have setup the task rule to wake up computer if plugged in, and to run even if no user is logged in, but will googledrivesync.exe accept to run even if no user is logged in ?
  • Will the computer screen be awake for 1h ? Or as soon as Gdrive is finished ( maybe after 10min) the computer will go back to sleep ? Will the computer automatically go back to sleep after 5am ?

I'm using windows 10 on a surface pro 4.

You may need to make some hack (not very secure) - create a batch file which will allow you to login and then lock station, this will mean that your user programs can run. Start here http://woshub.com/how-to-disable-password-login-in-windows-10/ . Then a batch script a 5am to turn off again.
