I have a new Dell laptop with the latest realtek audio driver. Ive noticed that the sound would start off playing fine for an hour and then starts degrading into full on static. This would be regardless of using my headphones or just the laptop speaker.
A quick bandaid I use is by changing the sample rate under the speaker properties. This seems to "reset" the soundcard and then everything works again, only to get static again.
Any idea what is going on?
