Is it possible to force Cortana enabled while using Windows in unsupported language?

I noticed interesting thing: On Windows 10 Insider Build 18850 I have set Windows language and also region to Czech (where Cortana is not officially available). However, I have also installed English (UK) language pack (but not set to use - kept Czech as default - English is installed but not used) - and when I restarted my computer, Cortana´s "Can I help you box" showed up after startup while my language and region was still set to Czech (but speaking is set to English). (I can open Cortana by opening ms-cortana:// link.

(To sum up, my configuration is:

  • Windows 10 Insider Build: 18850
  • Windows language and region: Czech (does not support Cortana)
  • English (UK) language pack installed but not set as default
  • Speaking (and voice) language: English / Microsoft Susan )

Microsoft has separated Cortana from Windows search since build 18317. Cortana now also has a separate icon in taskbar and can be enabled/disabled independent on Windows search (in supported languages). But unlesss you set Windows to Cortana-supported language (English) you see only Windows search option in taskbar.

That all suggests that it might be possible to enable Cortana in English while keeping system in Czech. (I suppose this could be replicated also with any other supported-unsupported language combination.)

Do you know any way (registry maybe?) how to force Cortana to show in taskbar so I could open it without changing system language? Or do you have any ideas where to look for?

(I´m not native speaker so my message may be longer than usual, and if anything is not clear I´ll try to explain it better.)

Thank you
