How to fix a "Temporary profile"

0

In the classroom, often the users get a message "You are logged in with a temporary profile." The machines are all Windows 7. Windows 10 upgrades are in the pipe.

I've seen a couple different recommendations on how to fix this, but before I tackle that problem, I would like to stop it from happening in the first place, if possible. So this question has two parts.

  1. Why does this happen and how can I stop it from happening, if it is possible?

  2. What is the best way to fix this?

That happens when the OS thinks a profile has been corrupted (which could be for all sorts of reasons). – DavidPostill – 2019-03-07T12:20:36.347
