Change default "Balance this account" statement date in MSMoney

Question

I'm still using MSMoney because it does pretty much everything I need such a program to do. One annoyance though is that the Statement date in the "Balance this account" window is set to a future date (I believe it's a month out.)

I always want the Statement date to be the day I'm balancing the account, so I have to change it every time. And I balance my account frequently.

So, I'm looking for a way to change the default. It would have to be a registry hack, I guess, because I can't find an option to set it in the program.

I know this is a longshot, but I figured if anyone could help, it would be someone here.
