Can't remove US-PC keyboard input

0

When I was setting up my mac for the first time I wrongly selected as main input language US-PC instead of just US. Now I can't get rid of it and can't find a solution. In the keyboard preferences I added US and removed US-PC in about 30 mins it's getting back and is selected as the input source. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? It's so annoying...

Thanks in advance for your help.

1Try leaving BOTH in the source screen, and enabling the "show in menu bar" option. Close the Pref Pane, and select the non-PC one thru the menu bar. Does that selection "stick"? – jimtut – 2019-02-07T13:29:34.583

Open Spotlight => Terminal => defaults delete -g command to delete the hidden global preferences file that holds your language settings. Now, log out and back into your account, and your language should be back to normal. – JosefZ – 2019-02-10T16:03:32.723
