How do I change the userprofile name of my administrator account in Windows 10?

0

I have only one account on my pc and its not linked to my Microsoft Account. When I was setting up windows, I accidentally set my name as Asad Nawaz and now my userprofile in C:/Users shows as C:/Users/Asad Nawaz

I want this space removed for obvious reasons. I have already installed a few softwares. Android Studio, MS Office etc to name a few. How can i get them all to point to a new directory without the space.

Asad Nawaz

@Run5k the highest rated answer in that post is for when the account is linked to a Microsoft account – Asad Nawaz – 2019-01-17T17:18:16.083

1@AsadNawaz - Linking and unlinking your account is the simplest way to change the name of the profile directory. But the linked duplicate also has other methods to accomplish the same task. – Ramhound – 2019-01-17T17:24:18.560

@Ramhound what do you mean that the linked duplicate also has other methods to accomplish the same task? – Asad Nawaz – 2019-01-17T18:18:15.547

1@AsadNawaz - The duplicate question has received multiple answers. Only one indicates this can be done by linking a Microsoft Account and then unlinking a Microsoft Account ( and when prompted choosing to create a new profile). – Ramhound – 2019-01-17T19:04:19.387
