Two users have reported that videos (either via the built-in screen recording function or the phone's Camera app) taken with my Huawei Honor 8 are bugged. Android users and Windows users report that they can view them without any problems, but some iOS users (2 people) report that the bottom half of the video is green and one iOS user reports that the video turns into mush at some point.
This is all the metadata I could dig from the file and I cannot pinpoint what is causing this problem and why isn't it affecting other systems (Android or Windows)... and why are only Huawei devices causing this compatibility issue?
I tried and and it doesn't matter which app is used and it doesn't matter whether the messaging app compressed the files or not. The result is the same. On Windows (MPlayer & VLC) the video files work just fine.

What is a good place to ask tech questions related to mobile devices then? I will gladly take any advice I can get. Huawei's own customer service doesn't know a thing and Reddit is quiet :/ – C H – 2019-01-15T20:57:04.000
