Why are most Skype chatsync .dat files missing?

0

I've been trying to find out what I said in an old deleted Skype message, and I've tried different SQLite programs, such as Skyperious and Skype Log Viewer, but the deleted messages come up blank. I heard that .dat chatsync files contain deleted messages and tried downloading SkypeChatSyncViewer to read them, however my Chat Sync files only go up to May 7th of 2017 and the previous files that are there don't contain all of my conversation history. Is there a way I can access all of my user history in the form of .dat chatsnyc files?

PS. I'm using the latest update of the classic Skype.

Specifically, which version are you running now, according to "about". If you are still running 7.x, the DB files should still be there as well. You can also check this folder, to see how large they are now: C:\Users\CURRENT-USER\AppData\Roaming\Skype\YOUR-SKYPE-ID\ --- Your database with ALL your messages, should be in the file, MAIN.DB in that folder. – DaaBoss – 2018-05-29T16:35:01.143

Thanks for the help! I'm using the classic skype version of 7.41.0.101. Using various programs I was able to see all of my chat history as saved on my MAIN.DB file, however it didn't show deleted messages. After digging around online, I found out you can read deleted messages by reading the .dat files found in chat sync. The problem is the .dat files only sync up to last year's messages, The folders for any date past that are all empty. I'm looking for a way to view deleted messages, but the chat sync files are missing. Is there any way to fix this? – Audrey Griffitts – 2018-05-29T22:15:13.583
