copy speed from internal cd to HDD super slow is there a fix

0

When I go to copy files from my internal dvd player to my HDD the transfer speeds are so slow that it locks up the computer and the only fix is to reboot and nothing ever gets transfered. Went to MS first and even though hundreds maybe thousands of people have this problem MS refuses to fix. Does anyone have a fix other then uninstalling windows 10 and going back to 7

FYI this question is about a windows 10 home Desktop – RayBone McCauley – 2018-04-23T21:09:00.423

Do you have any information on the issue that is usable to determine the problem? Windows Event View logs, error message details, things you have tried, etc? Our organization has hundreds of Windows 10 PC's and we have not encountered this issue. – acejavelin – 2018-04-23T21:10:27.453

Since I'm a windows 7 user and the pc I'm talking about is my mothers new pc no I don't have any logs if you could explain to me how to produce a log file on win 10 I would gladly cup and paste it here. I can tell you it's a picture cd with 89 files when I select all and copy to a folder on the main HDD the transfer speed starts out normal but then drops to 80kbps and then to 0 bits ps and the pc doesn't completely lock up but only allows me to reboot. – RayBone McCauley – 2018-04-23T21:13:26.220

Windows doesn't maintain text logs anymore... Create the issue, then go to Event Viewer (click Start and type Event, it should pop up) and check Windows Logs - System and possibly Application for relevant log entries. – acejavelin – 2018-04-23T21:16:42.317
