My Dell Inspiron 5558 Signature Edition with Intel Corei5 processor and touch screen sometimes has two cursors showing. One or both of those cursors start flickering and eventually become immovable. In addition, when the cursor issue occurs in the bottom-middle of my touch screen either a 1-inch square square or a circle approx 1-inch in circumference appear, these can be minimized by touching the screen but reappear shortly after.
I do not use two screens and have tried to use the F8 key as well as rebooting often. Please help.
What do you use to clean the touchscreen? A purpose-made cleaner might improve the situation. – Andrew Morton – 2018-02-27T18:29:39.277
The issues is internal to the screen not a cleanliness issue – Kamanllc – 2018-02-27T18:31:01.550
It's best to get the simple possibilities out of the way first - the screen could be too clean and have no anti-static compounds on it. – Andrew Morton – 2018-02-27T18:40:07.910
Try to disable touch screen by device manager (and use external mouse or touchpad). If the issue fixed, then some short-circuit in the touchscreen, or touchscreen nanocells are defective. Another source can be the cheap chinese screen protectors, which are possible to charge themself and occurs fake touches (I met with this issue on many smartphones with screen protectors). – uDev – 2018-02-27T21:07:50.590
