When a NVMe device has be unsafe removed on kernel 4.9.45, we found the link of nvme controller still exist by "lspci" command. the driver will not take the initiative to remove the bus link. That caused pci re-scan command (~#echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/rescan) to be invalid. We do the same experiment on kernel 4.4.14. It work correctly.
