I ordered these to put on my keyboard. I can't figure out how to get windows to directly put these characters in when i type rather than me having to type it in romaji.
For example to type 何 (nani) I have to type the Latin characters (nani) rather than directly typing the Japanese characters (なに)listed on the keys.
I've tried doing the kana input. Both on the normal Windows IME and the google one. I can't get it to work on either of them unfortunately. – Xedrek – 2017-04-29T04:32:09.150
What exactly happens when you choose kana input and then press one of the letter keys? Does it behave the same as when you choose romaji input? If so, my best guess is that some other application is interfering with the IME. A taskbar clock did this on my computer once (details).

i removed the language and put it back and switched to kana. It no longer uses romaji when typing in kana. It only types in Roman characters now in Kana input. – Xedrek – 2017-04-29T22:48:16.740
When you right-click on あ, then ローマ字入力 / かな入力, which of the two input methods is selected? If you select kana input but it doesn't stay selected, then that sounds like a bug in the IME or Windows. Also I remembered that I used to have slightly similar problems with Windows XP and Vista, but never in 8.1 or 10. – user1310503 – 2017-04-30T09:42:49.053
