I am running 64bit Windows7 and have a USB 3.0 Seagate external hard drive (HD) connected. The external HD works great and I can access, store, and open files on it just fine. However, when I go to "My Computer" and want to safely eject the external HD so that I can remove it from the computer, the external HD is listed under "Hard Disk Drive(s)" along with my computer's normal C: internal HD, not under "Devices with Removable Storage." This means there is no "eject" button.
I'm worried about corrupting the external HD's files if I just detach it manually from the computer without ejecting first.
Any suggestions on how to eject the HD?
