Mouse keeps clicking on it's own not a driver issue

0

The mouse keeps clicking even when I unplug it, and EVERYTHING I search comes up with either update you mouse drivers (My mouse drivers are already fully updated) Or I'm being hacked, and I should disconnect it from the network. PLEASE HELP this prevents me from doing ANYTHING on the computer.

Sounds like a remote or autoclicking program. Do you have such a program? If you don't know, try killing processes in the task manager that look like they might be the cause and see if killing one of them stops the clicking. (Warning, this can very easily crash your system or do other weird stuff, so save everything first and restart your PC afterwards before doing anything else.) – Fabian Röling – 2017-03-05T01:02:37.023

2How fast is it clicking? Randomly? Regularly? Once every few minutes or multiple times per second? Does it always click on the same spot or always where your cursor is? Etc, please more details. – Fabian Röling – 2017-03-05T01:03:32.173

1Have you tried the obvious and restarted your computer? – DavidPostill – 2017-03-05T14:15:46.363

My mouse had the same behavior, though it might not be the same reason.

Well, I spent(/wasted) quite some time finding for solution, until I tried this -

Press and hold the mouse middle wheel for 5 seconds roughly ...

Ta-da, it fixed!
