Remote Desktop redirection . Program needs to store temp files on root drive but get access denied when multiple users are on the system.

I have remote desktop on MS server 2007. Some of the programs store temporary files on the root of the c drive. When multiple users are using the remote desktop of course it conflicts with other users temp files. Is there a way to redirect the root directory so each users temporary files are stored separate from each other and not have a conflict between the users? This is not a UAC problem.

2Sounds to me like you should contact the authors of the software you're using as storing temporary files in the root of the system partition is extremely bad practice, and causes unlimited problems, as you've experienced. – Hydranix – 2016-12-22T04:08:45.483

1The software shouldn't store those files in the root of the drive to begin with. For such a scenario it should be stored in the temp folder of that user. In addition there is no Server 2007. There is 2003 and 2008. – Seth – 2016-12-22T06:54:40.320
