One Windows 10 Pro remote desktop computer will not connect to a Windows 2012-R2 with RDP terminal server.

It stopped after the Windows 10 update but I have narrowed it down to the computer.

  • I can log into other servers with this computer.
  • I can log into this existing server with the user profile and password so I know the account and the 2012 Server and account are good.
  • I have disabled all firewall, Anti-Virus, and installed all updates.
  • I also changed the Network Group to Private. It seems to be the Remote IP address with this one site.

Is there a file that stores network addresses that needs to be flushed? Again I can login to other servers from this PC and the profile can login from other computers to this server.

Have you checked the Remote Desktop Settings for that server?, the checkbox that says: "Allow connections only from computers running RD with network level authentication", you might be on the right track with the update causing the problem, compare services running in one of the PC's that do connect. and also compare the settings of the other servers. – arana – 2016-10-07T20:54:23.287

(1) Describe exactly what happens.  “will not connect” is too vague — does it give an error message?  (2) Let me see if I understand this correctly.  Client workstation A will not connect to server X, but A can connect to servers Y and Z, and workstations B and C can connect to server X.  How does this rule out the possibility that the problem is on server X?  (3) If this question is about a business environment, it is off-topic for [SU]; see [SF].  (0)  Please do not respond in comments; [edit] your question to make it clearer and more complete. – Scott – 2016-10-07T20:57:33.730
