I hope you are able to help. I have a spare TV that's bigger than my monitor so I figured I'd link it up to my desktop machine. I've tried with HDMI-HDMI and DVI-HDMI cables and adjusted some settings (I have an AMD graphics card) but the colours still look washed out and rubbishy on screen. I'm beginning to think it's a no-go. I'm not sure what details you'd need to know/if you can help with this, but the TV model number is GS32FHD - it's a Lowery).
Sounds like the output on your graphics card is set to “Limited RGB” while the TV is expecting regular RGB. – Daniel B – 2016-09-13T11:55:38.483
Hi Daniel B. Sorry I did try setting it to standard but to no avail. Could it be anything else? – mkultron – 2016-09-13T11:57:05.220
Have you tried another TV? I've never heard of the Lowery brand, and depending on it's age, it could just be a crap TV. – Kaizerwolf – 2016-09-13T13:13:43.943
Yeah, I tried a Bush also (don't have the model number to hand) and got pretty much the same results with the washed out colours. I doubt either of them are cutting edge, though. – mkultron – 2016-09-13T13:28:18.550
