Slow Boot - Windows 7

0

I can't understand why my laptop is so slow during the boot process: it takes 2 minutes to get to the logon screen and other 2 minutes to a usable desktop.

Operating system is Windows 7 64 bit SP1 with 8BG RAM.

I'm unsure how to proceed: I've tried to deactivate any unused services or to uninstall unneeded programs...

Looking at the registry, ServiceGroupOrder etc... I don't find any particular issue.

I've disabled many programs from msconfig too, but without luck till now.

What else could I do?

Edit

Is using xbootmgr to trace boot suggested?

There can be many reasons why your boot is slow, including problems with drivers. Troubleshooting this is not easy though. If you can reinstall windows, that is likely going to fix your issue. – LPChip – 2016-09-12T19:33:26.013

@LPChip I'm aware it is not easy at all... but, unfortunately, no I can't reinstall windows – Giulio – 2016-09-12T19:35:10.973
