im using Remote Desktop Connection to connect to my server running my IIS. While connection to the server I get an errormessage:
Windows does not recognize the name specified in the computer name field.
Verify that the name is typed correctly, and then try again.
I can press Ok and enter my account information. Afterwards I can connect to the Server.
Why does this message appear? What can I do to prevent this message?

Most likely a DNS issue. What happens if you enter the server's IP address instead of hostname? – Narzard – 2016-09-01T18:48:55.593
