I am using elementary OS and since few days back I started to get K typed randomly. Sometimes randomly sometimes when I press T, Y, U, ;. K gets typed everywhere (word processors, IDEs) except for the browser.
The problem occurs randomly anytime. After restarting the computer it gets back to normal and then after a few hours of use it starts to happen again.
Now first I thought it is a hardware problem but if it is then why doesn't K gets typed in the browser?

Try a different keyboard. The keyboard is most likely at fault. – Julie Pelletier – 2016-08-24T04:18:33.370
