I have Norton Security running in my laptop with Windows 10, and Windows Defender keeps on telling me that I am not protected, and that I should activate and configure Defender. Since I have Norton (I carry an automatic annual subscription), is it necessary that I also activate Win Defender? I remember seeing at one point that they compete for resources, and may not be fully compatible.
If you are running Windows 10 Version (1507 or 1511) you should disable Windows Defender of you have another security product installed. Once Windows 10 Version 1608 is released, a new feature has been added, to allow Windows Defender and another security product like Norton to exist on the same system. – Ramhound – 2016-07-13T11:39:00.243
