I have just read the steps in this answer to starting Outlook 2010 in a different folder: How to change the default Outlook 2010 start folder?. I am using IMAP inbox.
I go through the steps and set it to my inbox, but when I close and reopen it, it has changed back to "Outlook Date File" inbox.
I go through the exact steps File. options, advanced, Outlook start and exit. my email and inbox. I click on the x to save the results, but my inbox is not saved.
I have had Outlook 2010 for about 2 years. When I first got it, it worked correctly and would open to my inbox. Recently I had to reinstall Wndows and Outlook 2010 and now it does not work.
