I bought a 64bg Sandisk Extreme two weeks ago and today it decided to just quit on me. When I plug it into my computer I can hear that Windows sees it but not in Windows Explorer. I can view the device in Device Manager after I do a refresh for Hardware Changes.
What I see in DiskPart:
Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info
---------- --- ----------- ----- ---------- ------- --------- --------
Volume 0 E NTFS Simple 465 GB Healthy
Volume 1 System Rese NTFS Partition 500 MB Healthy System
Volume 2 C NTFS Partition 223 GB Healthy Boot
Volume 3 D Local Disk NTFS Partition 931 GB Healthy
Volume 4 F 2TB Drive NTFS Partition 1862 GB Healthy
Volume 5 G New Volume NTFS Partition 465 GB Healthy
Volume 6 H Removable 0 B No Media
What I see in ChipGenius:
Description: [H:]USB Mass Storage Device(SanDisk Extreme)
Device Type: Mass Storage Device
Protocal Version: USB 2.10 <- Hint: This device can run faster when plugged to a USB3.0 port
Current Speed: High Speed
Max Current: 200mA
USB Device ID: VID = 0781 PID = 5580
Serial Number: my-serial-number
Device Vendor: SanDisk
Device Name: Extreme
Device Revision: 0010
Manufacturer: SanDisk
Product Model: Extreme
Product Revision: 0001
Controller Part-Number: Not recognized during normal detection
I am not sure if there is anything that I can do to fix this?
Any help would be much appreciated.
