Reinstall windows 10 with new build

0

I had Orginal Windows 8.1 and I just upgraded it to Windows 10 'build 10240'. Now, I doesn't get any updates like update to build 10586 (maybe you know why).

I want to perform clean install of new Windows 10 .iso, my question is: After clean install will I have orginal version of my Windows?

1What ever version that is on the .ISO will be installed. I am not sure I understand what you considered to be the "original version of my Windows". If you perform a clean install, your personal files and applications will be deleted, upgrading from the .ISO to build 10586 is extremely easy. – Ramhound – 2016-02-04T15:02:46.503

I mean, will pc get my product key after clean install? – KDev – 2016-02-04T15:04:30.817

With recent computers, product key is embedded in the BIOS, so it'll find it automatically. – Terry – 2016-02-04T15:09:51.153

Users who accept the free upgrade to Windows 10 are granted a digital entitlement for their machine. This allows the user to install the Windows 10 without a licence key, since none is every provided to the user, and Windows 10 will still automatically activate. – Ramhound – 2016-02-04T16:20:52.583

yes you can get product key – Akshay Pethani – 2016-02-04T16:28:09.240

@AkshayPethani - You mean the same generic key that everyone gets if they accept the upgrade? It can't be used to install Windows 10, so what is the point, of getting that product key? If it is possible to get a different key, feel free to provide that information, because I feel comfortable enough in my knowledge to indicate that isn't a method. – Ramhound – 2016-02-04T16:38:52.787

I see no response that provides any sort of explanation or even a statement that you can "get product key" after you upgrade to Windows 10 after you accept the free upgrade. I see multiple responses that indicate Windows 10 will automatically activate on any machine that has been upgraded in the past. There is also of course the GenuineTicket.xml which can be saved if you so desire. What exactly do you feel the link you provided indicates? – Ramhound – 2016-02-04T16:52:16.047

"Please be informed that once your device upgrades to Windows 10 Home or Pro using the free upgrade offer, it will activate online. This is because an entitlement is registered to your PC’s hardware for your edition of Windows 10 directly from the servers." – Ramhound – 2016-02-04T16:56:17.843
