Command prompt is not launching in windows 8. On clicking the cmd file or icon the window displays for a second and then disappears.The conventional ways of typing in the search box or Run window also don't work.I tried opening in safe mode where it worked absolutely fine. How can I solve this out of the safe mode?

Assuming that you have a legitimate copy of Win8... Start -> rightclick this computer -> Properties. There is a section for licensing, click the activation button there, you may need to call Microsoft (It is an automated line) – Burgi – 2016-01-19T10:25:34.027
