In earlier versions of Windows it was possible to search for parts of the filename by typing e.g. filename:~="car"
in the search box.
It worked for file names where car was not following a space like in a file name like BlueCar
.
I can't get this to work in File Explorer on Windows 10.
How come? Has Microsoft removed this search feature or am I doing something wrong?
Are there any other way to solve this?
What do you mean it doesn't work? Does it show too many files, no files, different files? – Ben N – 2016-01-16T19:20:05.577
Sorry for not being clear. It shows no files. – Ozzy – 2016-01-17T07:46:45.410
