Can't change standard monitor for start screen (Windows 8.1)

0

I've been trying to find a way to get the start screen to start on my secondary monitor as default. I just cant find a way to make it work. I've googled and found the shortcut for doing it(windows key + pgup/pgdn) but nothing is happening when I try it.

The closet I have got is moving the start screen to secondary monitor with windows key+shift+left/right. But as soon as I have closed it goes back to starting on the primary monitor again.

I don't wan't to change my primary monitor. Does anyone know what to do?

Is it possible Microsoft has removed the windows key+pgup/pgdn shortcut? I can't find it here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/keyboard-shortcuts

Do you have any third-party tool that modifies Windows 8 behavior such as a Start Menu tool? The keyboard shortcuts your using should change the monitor the Start Screen appears even through a reboot or the closure of the Start Screen itself – Ramhound – 2013-10-17T18:48:25.867

I don't use any third-party tools. – John – 2013-10-17T18:51:52.210

There's an answer at http://superuser.com/questions/493765/show-windows-8-start-menu-on-the-primary-monitor -- you just want the opposite choice.

That doesn't work either. – John – 2013-10-18T11:52:58.393
