I really like IDM/jazz fusion (might as well be lumped into one catagory), prog metal/rock, funk, metal, acid jazz, and industrial.

Bands that are my favorite that go in the order of my named favorite genres: Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Garage a Tois, Chick Corea and Return to Forever, Miles Davis, Morphine, Buckethead and everything he has been involved with, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, Liquid Tension Experiment, Tool , Parliment Funkadelic and all re-encarnations thereof, Les Claypool and everything he has been involved with, Children of Bodom, Samael, Iced Earth, John Coaltrain, Charles Mingus, Chick Corea, NiN, Mortis, Liabach.

Thats a pretty good list don't ya think.
