I completly fucked my computer yesterday somehow. I decided to try out a new bittorrent program, but now after a couple of days I cannot download or open any new torrents. I get an error to the tune of "access to the specified device, path, or file is denied" whenever I try to open a new torrent. And when I download one they are all corrupt.

I have been considering wiping my drives and starting from scratch anyway because I have so much crap I don't know what to get rid of anymore. The problem is I have no way to download Windows XP without a working torrent. Would someone be so kind as to upload Win XP pro with service pack 2 to the FTP? There is a torent here: http://66.90.75.92/suprnova//torrents/2359/Windows%20XP%20Pro%20Corp%20incl.%20SP2.torrent that would be perfect if only I could open it.

If anyone happens to know of another place that has XP I could dl it directly...

Well for me, i get all the software I need off mirc. Very useful, I use a site http://www.ircspy.com to find what I need. Its pretty easy, just type in what you want to find and it will show it for you. Remember more is less, so if you cant find what your looking for, shorten the search words. Im sure u will find windowsxp their pretty easy. This is consideing you have irc to use. It tells you what bots the files are on, how fast you can download off the bots, and such. Just my o2.

Mega,

I've got ya covered. Upload will start shortly.

EDIT:
Well, at it's current transfer rate (26KB/s), it will take ~6hrs to finish uploading. Unfortunately, I only have about 4 hrs to spend doing this. Is there any way that you can increase throughput on your end? I have virtually unlimited upload bandwidth (limited only by the transfer rate of my HD right now), so the bog-down is on that end somewhere. What sort of load is the server seeing right now?

EDIT:
Unfortunately, I just don't have the time necessary to upload such a large file with an u/l speed like that. Do you have decent access to USENET? I could easily post it in a binaries group if that's viable. Send me a PM with any options you can think of.

Mega: SP-2 and torrents (or any other P2P setup) do not go well together. SP-2 limits your concurrent internet connections to about ten... thats an insult to bittorrent. I recommend keeping away from SP-2 or getting a special crack to fix this problem.

I am aware of SP2's limitations and I have the crack... I have already downloaded XP from direct connect, so there is no longer a need for it to be uploaded. Thanks for the attempt Frank :) I remembered DC within seconds of making my post.
