Sorry, but you have lost me.

Can you explain in a bit more details what you mean?

.50 cal bmg, your last post in this thread was in no way better than the previous one. When you have a look at your keyboard it will invite you to use proper punctuation and capital letters. If you can't post when you're stoned you should only post when you're sober.

In a remarkable state of sobriety I happened across this wonderful site by the name of google.
YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE THE STUFF ON THERE! It seems that not only can you bring up sites online, put forum posts as well! I couldn't believe my eyes when I seen the plethora of information before me when I typed in 25 caliber plans and other similar topics
When in doubt.....search.
While this does kinda fall under the whole E&W thing, is anyone here actively looking into this sort of thing? Really though, when we have members thinking of recoilless rocket launchers, plans of taking over the world, and how to make explosives from things OTHER than bleach...whos got time to build a gun from scratch? :p
If you get access to the ftp....try looking up some of the books. You might find one or two things you can make work :D
Some of us shouldn't even post when we ARE sober...and to admit to it....tsk tsk.

I would not recommend building a .308 as your first gun. That cartridge is pretty powerful, and the whole thing is liable to blow up. I suggest that you start out with a .22 and move up from there.

I don't know of any rifles that use a .308 that are particularly easy to build. Some famous ones include the M-14, the FN/FAL, the M-40, and the M-24. It's a good caliber: powerful, flat-shooting, has long range capabilities...but it has its disadvantages. It excels at long-ranges, but since your gun will probably not be that accurate anyway, I would suggest that you use something like the .223 or even a pistol cartridge such as the 9mm or the .45 ACP. Something like the Sten Mk II would be fairly easy to build as far as firearms go. The grease gun would probably be easy, too, if you could find plans. You should definately build a smaller one first, though.
Feel free to e-mail me (alexgreen977@hotmail.com) for plans and suggestions. I don't have ftp access to upload them.
