White Horse Prophecy

The White Horse Prophecy is a millennial prediction by Joseph Smith that the current U.S. Constitution will hang by a thread and that a Mormon church elder from Zion will ride in on a metaphorical white horse to save it.

Veracity

In 2012, a former Mormon Bishop and member-in-good-standing, Mitt Romney, lost the presidential election. Perhaps the crisis awaiting the white horse is yet to come. This particular prophecy will persist as a means to discredit Mormon politicians in the eyes of outsiders.
