Pete Sanders

Pete A. Sanders Jr. is a "M.I.T. Honors Graduate in BioMedical Chemistry and Brain Science", self-proclaimed "leading expert on Sedona's vortex sites", and has been spreading woo surrounding Sedona's supposed vortexes since at least 1980.[1]

Whether he is a M.I.T. graduate (with honors or otherwise) remains to be seen (he has no publications[2]), but is mostly unimportant, as it's no guarantee that he's right (or can design websites, for that matter). He repeats "M.I.T. Honors Graduate" pretty much every time he opens his mouth or writes something.

Apparently string theory explains Sedona's vortexes, but to learn more you need to shell out your hard-earned cash on a "Scientific Vortex Information" book, DVD, or seminar.[3] Given that string theory itself is unproven its a virtual certainty that it's a waste of money, unless of course Sanders has found definitive proof verifying string theory, in which case we apologize and will happily spend money on his books—right after he's received his Nobel prize.

He featured as a crank guest the Penn & Teller: Bullshit! episode on New Age.
