Northcom, or the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), is the unified command for North America under the Department of Defense (DoD). It is in charge of military operations on the North American continent and is largely integrated with NATO.

Some conspiracy theorists (mainly Alex Jones) believe that this operational command is a symbol to the people that the government of the United States has declared war on its citizens. This is of course ignores all other foreign commands (AFCOM, CENTCOM, PACCOM, etc.) that we also have not declared war on. Unless the reality is that the United States has declared war on the entire globe, in which case the DoD has done a very good job of portraying global peace.
