Francis Collins
Francis Collins (April 1, 1950–) is an American physician/geneticist who currently serves as the director of the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). He was the head of the US research institute that worked on the Human Genome Project.
Collins is an Evangelical Christian [1] and a theistic evolutionist[2], which exasperates atheists[3] who nevertheless acknowledge his scientific expertise. He is also the founder of the BioLogos Foundation and served as its director until his appointment as director of NIH.
