Adaptogen

An adaptogen is a magic herb that has the "ability to balance endocrine hormones"[1] (whatever that means). By exercising a claimed "normalizing influence on physiology, irrespective of the direction of change from physiological norms caused by the stressor",[1] they are fully capable of separating the gullible from some cash that could be used to buy something useful, like coffin nails.
