Battlesigns^[1] are signs with sword enchantments on them, which are available in all three versions of the 2.0 April Fools' Update - Blue, Red, and Purple.

Obtaining

April Fools'

The battlesigns are sometimes dropped upon a death of a zombie pigman holding a battlesign. All zombie pigmen that spawn in the 2.0 updates will have the enchanted signs. There is an 8.5% chance of the pigman dropping the sign. These signs will have a much shorter attack cooldown than swords in versions 15w31a (1.9 snapshot) and later allowing for greater damage per second.

Enchantment Combos

There are 706 possible signs. The best possible combination is Looting 3, Knockback 2, Fire Aspect 2, and Smite/Bane of Arthropods/Sharpness 5, but Sharpness 5 is rarer than the Smite or Bane of Arthropods 5 variants. The rarest combination has a 1 in 166,500,000 chance of being dropped with Looting III^[2]. Not all combinations are possible.
