Welcome to my world, my name is Eduardo Mendoza, but I go by Edy.

I am enrolled at the University of North Texas, Denton, TX, where I am double majoring in Mechanical and electrical engineering.

Shortly, I'd like to become a mechatronics engineer for SpaceX or Neuralink, where I can apply engineering skills to create technology that can help humanity mentally or scientifically.

Attached is a picture of me showing a fellow shipmate how to use a Portable Exothermic Cutting Unit or PECU.

I have five years of experience as a Naval Engineer, where I learned how to weld, braze, Solder, machine heavy equipment, and oversee the Electrical and Propulsion plants. I've had to fix anything from a vacuum-operated Toilet to a Gas turbine fuel pipe. I also became a FireMarshal, eventually "combined my engineering and firefighting knowledge, and got certified to lead the "Crash and Salvage" (rescue) unit for Helicopter Flight Activities.

Now, stepping away from that chapter of my life and having more free time, I like to drown myself excessively at the UNT gym or boxing ring. I enjoy jump-roping and learning new tricks and "moves" to coordinate with the rope because it makes cardio fun. I also love to travel around the world. I have been to several countries and enjoy learning about different cultures and ways of life.

I want to contribute my experience to iFixIt by applying my knowledge of how professional guides should look since I know the importance of fully comprehending and, most importantly, using a guide to troubleshoot or fix the desired entity.
