Hello, My name is Sarthak. I am an international student from Nepal. Majoring in Computer Science at the University of North Texas.
This is my first time moving into a new country and so far it has been quite the adventure. From the stress of searching for an apartment to live in to the excitement of meeting new people for the first time. These past few weeks have been a roller-coaster.
Deciding that getting engaged in community events and programs is the best way for me to get to know more people. I decided to volunteer for the Nepalese Student Association(NSA) to represent Nepal at the world fair. This event has been the main highlight of my time here so far. Looking at the unique flags of all the countries represented there truly put into perspective how rich and vibrant the community here was.
Computer Science has always been a fascinating topic for me. How does a series of 0s and 1s perform so many complex operations never fails to amaze me. The problem-solving nature of software development and the sheer quantity of innovation it brings is why I choose to pursue computer science as my major. Though my interests lie in software development, I am also no stranger to the hardware side of things. I have done project creating basic line following robots. I have basic knowledge of circuit structures and have experience of connecting wires through soldering.
