I'm in my second year at UNO working toward my mechanical engineering degree. I've been fascinated by how things work ever since I was little - I used to take apart gadgets and appliances to look inside and figure out how they functioned. I love solving those kinds of practical problems. As a mechanical engineering major, I'm looking forward to courses where I can learn hands-on skills like machine design, testing materials, and building prototypes. After I graduate, I want to find a job where I can keep creating, tinkering, and coming up with solutions every day. I think engineering is an amazing blend of science and creativity that helps improve people's lives. I can't wait to be part of that.
