Hello! My name is Desiree Galvan, and I am a Junior at CSU Bakersfield. I'm majoring in Early Childhood Education, and my career goal is to become a teacher PreK to 2nd grade.
I didn't know what I wanted to do until I joined a class in high school and became an assistant/helper to a kindergarten teacher. Throughout that semester I grew to enjoy the environment and the children watching them learn and grew every day and socialize with each other laughing, smiling, being curious, etc. It made me feel happy and brought me joy.
Jobs I've done that made me feel proud of myself would be changing flat tires, setting up a tv mount, replacing doorknobs, and building furniture from the box. I'm not well experience in repairs but one thing I learned young is sometimes you just have to do it yourself.
Things I've learned to fix are a leaking faucet and an ignition coil. Currently, I'm not associated with organizations. I believe this project will be beneficial as the skills being used will be useful in future projects professionally and personally.
