My name is Angie and I'm an Austin Community College student majoring in Computer Science. When I'm not working or studying I spend as much time as I can with my son Diego.
Background:
I am a tech support and IT professional with 10+ years of experience in the field already. I'm pursuing a degree in Computer Science to deepen my understanding of the technology I support and continue to grow my skills. I'm excited for this iFixit project to challenge me to work on a more hands on project compared to my usual work.
I come from a DIY family, my parents have always done their own home improvement projects and my siblings love tinkering with electronics. Some of my earliest memories include handing tools to my father and holding fence posts in place for an older sibling to attach.
I'm not as skilled as my parents but I have a bit of experience with minor home repairs like replacing toilet flush valves and installing curtain rods. I've also built my own desktop computers and used iFixit guides in the past to replace parts on my cell phones.
The toy my son is playing with in this photo was broken when we purchased it second hand. My dad helped me fix it, so it will be enjoyed now for children for years to come instead of trashed.
