Hello, my name is Alejandra and I'm a senior Biology major at the University of North Texas. I hope to focus my career on working in the ecological field and possibly work in a National Park, or do research on animal behaviors and diseases.
Since I was a kid, I have had a passion for making as many animal friends as I could and learning to appreciate the beauty of nature. At the age of 5, I was handling and helping with animals going from kangaroos to horses, since I traveled so much and could observe a variety of ecosystems.
I first began pursuing veterinary medicine when I began college, but quickly came to realize that I wanted to work with wildlife when I realized that I could also work outdoors and help the ecosystem.
I began volunteering with animals when I was in high school, going to adoption events and getting shifts at the Humane Society, and have since then been expanding and learning as much as I can. In this past year, I have been mastering gecko care as well as dog grooming.
Repair Experience
I would say I have had experience repairing a handful of items, given I love to repurpose items, and also have had significant issues with key tools in my life. I learn whatever I can from Youtube and try to recycle materials as much as I can. Some of my most recent examples are the laptop I'm using to type this sentence out, which can now open and stay up properly (it now has colorful duct-taped hinges). Another recent example is my car, which has constantly gathered problems including, brake system issues, stolen car parts, and coolant system problems.
This is my car having the Red Triangle of Death again, which I fixed by replacing the inverter coolant pump.
