Mithunan Sivagnanam

Hello! my name's Mithunan Sivagnanam.

I am currently doing a Bachelor of Commerce degree for Information Technology at York University located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

I've always had an interest in technology, however I've also had an interest in athletics, sports and being active. The significance of this is that I had originally been enrolled in the Kinesiology program at York University and ended up making the program swap to Information Technology. So while I currently am doing an Information Technology degree, I have some knowledge about other fields as well.

I have minimal experience with repairing. Most of my repair experience is from replacing batteries in various technological devices such as laptops, smoke alarms, phones, keyboards, and mice. I’ve also learned that I can do well at researching potential solutions and understanding problems when introduced to me.

I am looking forward to contributing to iFixit. Through this experience, I believe I could improve my existing skills and gain new knowledge.

Professionally, this project could help outline some strengths that I have to future employers. If my project is properly done, it can show that I have an ability in communicating and teaching as I'd have to make clear and concise instructions that are understood by everyone. There are also many other skills that may be seen by employers through this project like technical expertise, competency, problem-solving abilities and so on.

Personally, this project helps me grow as a person and learn new things. Throughout this project, I will be able expand my knowledge in electronics, technology, repairs, and techniques in troubleshooting. I am further developing practical skills through my guides which would help me gain more confidence in handling similar tasks.

In my spare time, I find enjoyment in various activities such as engaging in sports with my friends, playing video games, and watching sports, shows and movies.
