Hey, mein Name ist Henry und ich übersetze auf iFixit hobbymäßig Anleitungen von Englisch auf Deutsch.

Ich bin schon vor einigen Jahren auf iFixit gestoßen und die zahlreichen Anleitungen konnten mir schon bei vielen Reperaturen aushelfen. Mich hat es schon immer interessiert, wie Elektonik oder auch andere Gegenstände eigentlich von innen aussehen, da mein Vater ein Ingenieur war und mir schon als ich klein war vieles im Bezug auf Elektronik beibringen konnte. Anfangs hat eine Sache viellecht nach dem Zusammenbau nicht mehr funktioniert aber man lernt mit der Zeit ja dazu :).

Mir war bis zu diesem Jahr gar nicht bewusst gewesen, dass iFixit gar nicht nur aus Anleitungen besteht sondern eine ganze Community dahinter steht, die zusammen versucht, Reperatur auf der Welt zu fördern. Ich bin froh nun auch ein Teil davon zu sein und hoffe wir können irgendwann unser gemeinsames Ziel erreichen. #righttorepair

Aktuell arbeite ich auf iFixit vor allem an der Übersetzung von Anleitungen aber ich kann mir vorstellen in Zukunft auch ganze Anleitungen zu erstellen.

Hey, my name is Henry and I translate instructions from English to German on iFixit.
I came across iFixit a couple of years ago due to the numerous articles and guides.

I have been interested in tinkering arround with electronics since I was little due to my father beeing an automotive engineer. He showed me the basics to electronics and since then I have succesfully repaired multiple of my devices (also with the help of iFixit guides).

Until this year, I did not realize that iFixit isn't just a bunge of guides and instructions but rather a whole community who tries to improve repairability. I am glad to be a part of it now and I am confident that together we can definetly reach that goal. #righttorepair

Currently I am mainly translating guides from English into German but I might also create and publish my own guides in the future.
