Hello there! My name is Emily Stieg. I am a Technical Communications Major at the University of North Texas. I am a Sales and Marketing Manager for a local yoga studio as well.
I fell in love with the field of Technical Communications after a journey through degree programs related to animal/environmental science. I started learning about technical communication while working as a veterinarian technician. The different manuals and procedures we used every day in the clinic sparked my interest in technical communications. I have always enjoyed writing so when I came to UNT, I decided to try going for a degree focused on conservation research. I thought this was the perfect way for me to combine my two passions until I took my first Technical Communication class and fell in love with all there was to offer. Shortly after I found my love, I changed majors to be a Technical Communication major.
I do not have much experience fixing things, but I am eager to contribute and learn through the iFixit Project!
