Hello!
My name is Shawn and I’m a graduate student at Northern Arizona University. I’m currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Professional Writing and completed my undergraduate studies at Arizona State University. At ASU, I was fortunate to receive the ASU Provost’s Scholarship, as well as the Dr. William Huizingh Scholarship.
I currently work as a Business Analyst and have professional experience in the insurance, banking, healthcare, finance, and payroll industries. I have worked with many different systems, including Tableau, Visier, and various payroll/HRIS systems.
During the early days of the pandemic, I also became familiar with ArcGIS and Google Earth Pro at an introductory level. I have also received a non-credit course certificate from the University of Amsterdam’s online course Unraveling the Cycling City.
My hobbies include bicycling, hiking, writing, and learning new things. I have completed a frame-up rebuild of a Fuji Roubaix road bike, as well as the restoration of a 1970’s Schwinn Varsity. I’m fascinated by data, mechanical processes, and household efficiency.
